MidwayUSA Foundation Gears Up for Its Biggest Day of the Year

Columbia, MO – MidwayUSA Foundation is asking for your support on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving held each year, this year, on December 2.  The public charity that funds America’s youth shooting teams hopes to raise $500,000 for youth shooting sports.  Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and Black Friday.  Online tax-deductible donations can be made to a youth shooting team or program through the Foundation’s website, and every donation to a youth shooting team’s endowment will be matched, thanks to the continuous generosity of Larry and Brenda Potterfield.

In addition to matching donations, MidwayUSA Foundation is offering $80,000 in special incentives to award participating teams.  The top five donation-earning teams will receive additional endowment funds ($15,000/$12,500/$10,000/$7,500/$5,000), and all other teams that receive a donation on Giving Tuesday, December 2, will be entered to win $1,000 through a random draw.

Donors can win too!  Once again, SK Guns has stepped up to help this great cause, offering their rare “Alexander the Great” 1911 pistol to one lucky donor.  Any donor who makes a $1,000 donation on Giving Tuesday is entered to win.  Teams benefit, and donors have the opportunity to take home a collector’s firearm.

A MidwayUSA Foundation endowment provides an annual cash grant to cover the myriad of expenses that youth shooting programs incur.  Covering the cost of ammunition, competition fees, targets, or travel can allow more young athletes the chance to participate in shooting sports.  Often, shooting sports athletes become future hunters and conservationists, as well.  Donors can be sure that 100% of their donations will benefit the endowment of their choice because no portion is used to cover operating expenses.

Giving Tuesday is more than a date on the calendar; it’s a day that changes the future of youth shooting sports. Whether you’re a donor, coach, athlete, or supporter of youth shooting sports, Giving Tuesday is your moment to make a difference.  Here’s how:

Join MidwayUSA Foundation for their biggest day of the year:  December 2.

The MidwayUSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity working to sustain and grow youth shooting sports by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Every donation made is tax-deductible and allows the Foundation to assist in expanding and enhancing the leadership skills, confidence, and discipline of today’s youth through shooting sports activities. The Foundation supports all shooting disciplines. For more information about how the MidwayUSA Foundation is changing the future of youth shooting sports, please visit MidwayUSAFoundation.org or call 1-877-375-4570.
