War Crimes Stacking Up: Three More Killed In US Attack On A Venezuelan Boat

The United States is committing more war crimes, unapologetically, as it strikes and kills three more people on another alleged trafficking vessel in the Caribbean Sea. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth wrote on X Sunday that “the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike” on the boat.

At the very least, the U.S. is no longer lying to its citizens or the world at large by calling it the Department of Defense. The rebrand was accurate; they only removed the illusion that this was somehow to “defend” the U.S.

Now, since its rebrand, the U.S. has been striking civilian boats, those not affiliated with Venezuela’s military, removing due process from people over suspected drug trafficking. No evidence of any “narco terrorism” has been presented by the U.S. ruling class either. These attacks are nothing short of war crimes and should be called out as such.

United Nations human rights chief Volker Turk on Friday condemned the deadly U.S. strikes in the region, calling them “unacceptable,” and urged the U.S. to halt the “extrajudicial killing,” according to a report by RT.

Secretary of War Says U.S. “Must Prepare For War”

Hegseth claimed in a post on X that the destroyed vessel was operated by members of a “Designated Terrorist Organization,” without providing any evidence at all to back up such a claim. So far, the U.S. has failed to convince those paying attention that these boat strikes are anything other than war crimes. Hegseth added that the ruling class will continue to hunt down these alleged drug smugglers and kill them.

War Alert: U.S. Gathers Warships And Troops Off Venezuelan Coast

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has dismissed the accusations of his government being involved and accused U.S. ruler Donald Trump of preparing a regime-change operation and resource grab. “Venezuela is innocent,” Maduro said in Caracas on Friday. “Imperialism is only seeking to justify a war to steal our riches and bring about regime change.”

Maduro’s accusations are not unfounded, as Secretary of State Marco Rubio is pushing for regime change accoridng to several media reports in the U.S.

Trump Denies Imminent Venezuela Strikes Amid Reports of Military Buildup

All of this is leading us toward a war with Venezuela, with the newly rebranded Department of War at the helm. We’ve already begun that harsh slide to tyranny, and if this war kicks up with the support of the current Christian nationalist movement, things could get very ugly very quickly.
