Murray Road and Carbon Media Launch Fishing the 50, a New National Fishing Series

CHARLESTON, S.C. — July 14, 2026 — The Murray Road Agency, a leading marketing and creative agency serving the outdoor industry and related verticals, is proud to announce the premiere of episode one of “Fishing the 50” in partnership with Carbon Media.

“Fishing the 50” is an original premium video series built around one ambitious mission: to fish all 50 states in America while uncovering the stories that make each fishery unique. More than a fishing show, the series explores the people, places, culture, history and conservation efforts that shape fisheries across the country—delivering a meaningful takeaway from every destination.

The first episode premiered on CarbonTV and was promoted across Carbon Media’s digital ecosystem, including AllOutdoor and OutdoorHub.

The debut episode takes viewers to Manistee, Michigan, where the “Fishing the 50” crew targets legendary Chinook salmon in Lake Michigan. Along the way, the episode showcases proven trolling tactics while diving into the rich history of Michigan’s king salmon fishery, including a visit to the Platte River State Fish Hatchery, where state biologists share insights into the science and management behind one of the region’s most iconic fisheries.

As the series progresses, “Fishing the 50” will continue exploring standout fisheries in every state, highlighting not only world-class fishing opportunities but also the communities and traditions that make each destination special. The goal is to inspire anglers to pursue bucket-list trips of their own while educating and entertaining audiences through authentic storytelling.

Production is already underway on the next episode, which was recently filmed in Southeast Alaska and features an unforgettable adventure in the rugged waters surrounding Prince of Wales Island.

With Carbon Media’s extensive reach into the fishing and outdoor markets, “Fishing the 50” is positioned to deliver immediate visibility and meaningful engagement among highly targeted audiences of anglers and outdoor enthusiasts nationwide. Produced by the Murray Road Agency, the series combines cinematic storytelling, educational value and modern content strategy to create a platform built for today’s outdoor consumers.

In addition to Murray Road’s in-house production capabilities, the agency collaborates with brand teams, local experts and fellow storytellers to capture the most compelling stories, fisheries and personalities across the country.

Murray Road is actively inviting brands throughout the outdoor industry to participate as official partners of “Fishing the 50.” Partnership opportunities provide brands with a highly authentic and engaging platform to connect directly with anglers nationwide while also benefiting from premium photo and video asset creation. Opportunities for factory tours, company headquarters visits and brand storytelling integrations are also available within future episodes.

Brands interested in partnership opportunities are encouraged to contact The Murray Road Agency to learn more about how they can be part of the journey. To discuss the series and explore ways to get involved, email Murray Road Content Manager Jake Dahlke at jake.dahlke@murrayroadagency.com.
