Monica Williamson Receives 2025 HSCF President’s Award

Houston, TX – [February 19, 2025] – The Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is honored to announce that Monica Williamson has been named the recipient of the 2025 HSCF President’s Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to recognize outstanding HSCF members whose dedication and service go above and beyond in support of HSCF’s mission.

The HSCF President’s Award acknowledges individuals for their leadership, exceptional service, superior performance, and collaborative teamwork, serving as an inspiration to others within the organization. Monica Williamson, the Immediate Past President of HSCF, exemplifies these qualities through her unwavering commitment to conservation, education, and the hunting community.

Monica’s lifelong motto—“You can’t just take from society, you also have to give back.”—is reflected in her extensive involvement with Houston Safari Club, Houston Safari Club Foundation, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and other organizations. Since joining HSCF in 2007, Monica has dedicated countless hours to the organization, holding numerous leadership positions, including HSCF Vice President (2014-2015), Gazelles Committee Member (2010-Present), Chair of the Convention Merchandising Booth (2016), HSCF Membership Committee (2009-2011), Board of Directors (2016-2018, 2018-2020), Co-Chair of YWCE (2019), HSC/HSCF Secretary (2019-2022), and HSCF Director (2021-2023).

Beyond her contributions to HSCF, Monica is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and has served as a committee volunteer for 26 years. She currently participates in the Breeders Greeters and Ranching & Wildlife Committees. Additionally, she is a proud member of  NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and Texas Women on the Wing.

With 30 years at Halliburton, Monica is currently a Proposal Manager at Boots & Coots, a sub-product service line of Halliburton. An avid huntress, Monica’s favorite hunting destination is South Africa, which she considers her home away from home. When she’s not in the field, Monica enjoys fishing, reading, photography, rodeos, traveling, and spending time with her family. A passionate advocate for introducing women and youth to the outdoors, she actively mentors others, encouraging them to explore hunting and fishing.
