Arctic Cat Racers Earn More Victories, And Championships

Arctic Cat Racers Earn More Victories, And Championships

(THIEF RIVER FALLS, MN March 30, 2026) – Arctic Cat races earned shiny trophies, set fast times and nailed down season points championships in another successful weekend of snowmobile racing on March 27-29. The results further reinforce that Arctic Cat is on a roll – in racing and as an industry-leading brand.

Following a highly competitive final round in Ontonagon, Michigan, Team Arctic racers earned seven season high points titles on the Cor Powersports cross-country circuit. Leading the way was Zach Herfindahl, whose second-place finish in Pro Open at Ontonagon secured his seventh championship in that class and 15th Pro title overall – all proudly earned on Arctic Cats. The legendary racer from Wisconsin was also leading the Pro Factory final Saturday until an unexpected collision with a recently exposed rock ended his day. Still, Herfindahl finished third in season points in that class as well.

Other successful Team Arctic season champions included Rielly Clark (Sport Improved Stock), Bryden Diesen (Junior 14-17 and Expert 600 Limited), Kynsie Diesen (Junior 10-13 Girls), Lauryn Franta (Trail) and the duo of Trig Anderson and Elliot Clark (Team). Rielly Clark cemented his points title with a victory at Ontonagon and was named the Cor Powersports 2026 Rookie of the Year. Herfindahl took home the circuit’s Sportsman of the Year honor.

As he has been so many times in the past, Arctic Cat legend Roger Skime was on hand in Michigan to encourage, support and congratulate the racers and their teams.

Meanwhile, in Tamarack, Idaho, Arctic Cat sleds emerging from the Maki Racing trailer made a strong statement at the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb Association (RMSHA) event. Team owner Tim Maki – yes, the same guy who piloted the No. 32 sleds on snocross courses 30 years ago – delivered multiple outstanding performances. He earned victories in Pro Senior Stock and Pro Senior Improved Stock, along with second-place finishes in Pro Master Stock and Pro Senior Modified. Maki’s protégé, Ryder McMillen, showed similar dominance in the Amateur ranks, earning two wins (Amateur Stock and Amateur Mod) and one second (Amateur Improved Stock) on Maki’s Arctic Cats. McMillen is already looking forward to competing in RMSHA’s Semi-Pro division next year.

Also at Tamarack, British Columbia’s Calvin Irmen earned podium finishes in Pro 600 Modified and Pro 600 Stock. Team Arctic’s Riley Kincaid secured his first podium of the year in Pro 600 Improved Stock.

“At events across the country, Team Arctic is making its presence felt in a big way,” said Team Arctic Race Manager Mike Kloety. “Race wins, points championships and the hard work everyone puts in on and off the track has people talking about what we’ve accomplished, and stirring rumors and excitement over what we will do next. We’ve been building positive momentum all season, showing the strength of the team and the brand.”

On the whole, snowmobilers continue to return to Arctic Cat for its industry-exclusive features, unmatched riding experience and the unrivaled passion of the brand’s leadership, employees and dealers.

About Arctic Cat Arctic Cat has been a leader in the offroad industry since 1962. Arctic Cat markets its Snowmobile, ATV and SXS products through a network of independent dealers located throughout the United States and Canada and through distributors representing dealers in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Asia and other international markets.
