Last year, XS Sights improved on its original R3D tritium night sights with the upgraded 2.0 version. The new sights delivered bigger and brighter rear tritium dots and easier installation. Since the introduction of the 2.0, the company continues to expand its pistol compatibility with Glock, S&W, Kimber, and HK. And now, XS Sights adds another pistol model to its list of compatibility with the Springfield Armory SA-35.
Springfield SA-35 Compatible XS Sights R3D 2.0 Night Sights Now Available
Constructed from solid steel bar stock, the R3D 2.0 features a Black Nitride finish for longer life and improved visibility. Currently available in green only, the front sight offers a high-contrast dual-illuminated glow dot and is wider than typical sights. Correspondingly, the proprietary Glow Dot, with tritium center vial, absorbs ambient light for low-light illumination. Likewise, the tritium center vial continuously charges the glow dot, making it brighter than the rear sight for rapid distinction.
In addition, the rear sight features a serrated face to reduce glare, so the tritium dots are clearly identifiable. Likewise, PVC rings around the rear tritium dots provide a more defined edge to improve the sight picture. The rear sight comes in the conventional two-dot configuration for a familiar sight picture.
Featuring a dovetail configuration, the R3D 2.0 sights are easy to install on the SA-35 via the company’s EasyPress process. As a result, this eliminates the need for filing and hammering and reduces the force needed for installation by up to 50%. So you can have your pistol ready to rock quickly and easily on your own.
Availability
The sights are available now with an MSRP of $137.49. For more information, please visit XSSights.com.

XS Sights takes your pistol to the next level with its R3D 2.0 tritium night sights. The company continues to add handgun compatibility regularly, now adding HK pistol models to its list. R3D 2.0 sights utilize XS’s proprietary Glow Dot technology, in green or orange, for rapid low-light target acquisition.
Upgrade Your HK Pistol with XS Sights R3D 2.0 Tritium Night Sights
Featuring dual-illumination, the second-generation R3D sights provide ideal target acquisition in low-light self-defense scenarios. Not to mention, the second-generation model is even easier to install than the original models. Likewise, constructed from solid steel bar stock, the sights include a Black Nitride finish for longer life and improved visibility.
The front sight features XS’s proprietary Glow Dot with a tritium center vial. Available in green or orange, the Glow Dot absorbs ambient light for low-light illumination. Likewise, the tritium center vial also continuously charges the Glow Dot, making the front sight glow brighter than the rear.
The rear sight comes in a familiar two-dot configuration with tritium inserts. However, the tritium inserts on the rear sight are smaller and provide less glow, so they don’t outshine the front sight. As a result, comes faster sight alignment and target acquisition. The tritium on both the front and rear sights comes with a 12-year warranty from the company.
The newest additions to the XS R3D 2.0 line are available for the following HK models:
Standard Height:
HK VP9, VP9 OR, P30, 45, 45C
Suppressor Height:
HK VP9 OR
“We have improved the R3D night sights to enhance firearm owners’ shooting experience, and that includes an even easier installation process,” said Addison Monroe, Digital Marketing Manager, XS Sights. “The new EasyPress features in these second-generation sights eliminate the need for filing and hammering and reduce the force needed for installation by up to 50%.”

Your Kimber K6s revolver is ready for an upgrade, and XS Sights has just the thing with its R3D tritium night sights. Utilizing XS’s proprietary Glow Dot technology, the sights provide rapid low-light target acquisition when you need it most. Available in either green or orange, they can be purchased as a front sight only or in a front and rear set.
XS Sights R3D for the Kimber K6s
Machined from solid steel bar stock, the R3D night sights include a rust-preventative coating. As a result, the sights offer durable and reliable long-term use, according to the company. Likewise, the black coating helps improve the visibility of the tritium illumination in the front and rear sights.
Available as a stand-alone purchase, the front sight features XS’s proprietary Glow Dot with a tritium center. The Glow Dot absorbs ambient light for low-light illumination in your choice of green or orange. Correspondingly, the tritium center also continuously charges the Glow Dot. For this reason, the front sight glows brighter than the rear sight for faster target acquisition.
The rear sight, which is available as a set with the front sight, comes in a 2-dot configuration. However, the tritium inserts on the rear sight are smaller and provide slightly less glow, so they don’t outshine the front sight. The tritium in both the front and rear sights comes with a 12-year warranty from the company.
Designed specifically for the Kimber K6s, the sights will not fit the K6xs. Additionally, XS Sights recommends that you have a gunsmith install the sights. Specifically because the front sight must be drilled to accommodate the retention pin.
“Being able to see your sights in any light is critical in self-defense situations, and our R3D Night Sights are designed for this,” said Addison Monroe, Marketing Manager, XS Sights. “The R3D, with its Glow Dot technology and wider notch, is a significant upgrade that gives gun owners confidence in their ability to make the shot day or night.”

The XS Sights R3D sights for the Kimber K6s are available now, with MSRPs of $73.00 (front sight only) – $138.00 (front and rear set). For more info, please visit XSSights.com.

Building on the popularity of the original R3D night sights (below), XS Sights offers the improved second gen with the 2.0. Promising significant improvements over the original, the R3D 2.0 offers bigger and brighter rear tritium dots. Additionally, available in standard and suppressor height, the updated sights feature an improved and easier installation process.
Glock and Smith and Wesson Compatibility
Featuring a black nitride finish, the updated R3D 2.0 sights double the corrosion resistance of the original black oxide treatment. As a result, the new sights promise a longer, more durable lifespan. Likewise, the nitride finish works with the serrations on the rear sight to reduce glare and enhance the sight picture.
A huge upgrade from the original R3D is the two rear tritium dots, which are now bigger and brighter. Correspondingly, the rear sight lamps are surrounded by PVC rings for a more defined edge. As a result, this helps further to differentiate the front dot from the rear lamps.
Wider than many on the market, the 0.145-inch front sight features a high-contrast orange or green dual-illuminated photoluminescent Glow Dot with a tritium vial. The Glow Dot activates after absorbing ambient light in low-light conditions. Likewise, the self-luminous tritium lamp can glow in low or no light for up to 12 years.
Installation is easy and requires no filing or hammering via the new EasyPress features. Built into the dovetail of the R3D 2.0, the EasyPress features pair a crush zone with a lead-in edge. As a result, this reduces the force required for installation by up to 50%, according to the company.
The directional lead allows the sight to be pressed over 1/3 of the way through the slide’s dovetail before making full contact. Once this contact is made, the crush zone starts collapsing, assisting with easy final installation. The new XS R3D Night Sights are available for all Glock and select Smith & Wesson pistols.
The XS R3D 2.0 Night Sights are available for the following models:
Glock:
- All models – Standard height and suppressor height
S&W:
- M&P/M&P 2.0 Standard Models (Novak style rear sight) – Standard height
- M&P/M&P2.0 C.O.R.E. (optics ready) – Standard height and suppressor height
- Shield/Shield 2.0/Shield Plus/Shield OR/Equalizer – Standard height

“R3D 2.0 night sights are a top choice for those seeking advanced precision and accuracy in their everyday carry handguns. Installing them is a breeze with a sight pusher, and once they’re in place, they’ll stand up to years of use,” said Addison Monroe, Marketing Manager, XS Sights.
“R3D 2.0 is the brightest notch and post option available. These sights are engineered to align quickly and accurately, especially in low-light conditions, making them ideal for people who rely on their firearms for personal defense in any situation.”

Glock pistol owners get new accessories to choose from with the announcement of XS R3D Night Sights in suppressor heights. The new offering comes as XS re-launches the former RAM Night Sights as R3D. The name change stems from a trademark issue.
XS R3D Night Sights
“We always like to be smart with our resources and lengthy litigation wasn’t the way to go,” said Zack Kinsley, Marketing Manager for XS Sights. “To our support channel, please know it will not affect our forward momentum. We are excited to announce the new suppressor height line extensions for popular LE and aftermarket pistols, and we plan to continue with the R3D product line full speed ahead.”
The new R3D sights feature radioactive material in a traditional three-dot tritium notch and post sight picture. The rear sight features a blacked-out style, increasing contrast. Meanwhile, the front sight comes in bight orange or green.
XS’s proprietary Ember Glow Dot technology allows the front sight to absorb ambient light. Additionally, the material glows in low light. The front tritium lamp also charges the Ember Glow Dot. The system makes the front sight glow brighter than the rear, keeping focus downrange.
Features
- The brightly colored Ember Glow Dot in the front sight is a much brighter color which differentiates the front dot from the two rear dots.
- The notch is 15-percent wider than the front sight, allowing more visible light around the front sight. This makes it easier to see the front sight in changing light conditions and when shooting on the move, aiding in sight alignment, and increasing accuracy.
The R3D Nights Sights get CNC machined from bar stock steel. A rust-preventative coating makes them durable and reliable, according to XS Sights. The sights fit standard holster options. For more information, visit xssights.com.
