Mil-Spec gets thrown around a lot in this industry, and it doens’t necessarily mean best in class, by a wide margin. But products built for SOCOM typically rise above the common, average fare. Daniel Defense owns an envious reputation for building quality AR-15s. They build guns that run. When you amplify that build resume with the standards required by SOCOM, you’re getting a product that has been tested to its failure points. Most civilian shooters will never burn through enough brass to find those differences, but it sure is nice to know your carbine can outperform you should the occasion arise.
