Nearly 30% expressed no sympathy for either side, signaling growing fatigue with the conflict. “The only notable demographic that remains majority sympathetic to Israel is Republican voters over 50 years old,” said Rich Baris, BDP director.
Similarly, a New York Times/Siena University poll revealed that 34% of respondents sympathize more with Israel—down from 47% in December 2023. “The people who should really be paying attention to these polls are the Israeli government officials and Israeli political leaders. Its policy toward the Palestinians, especially the ongoing military action in Gaza, seems to have squandered a great deal of American support, especially among younger generations and nonwhite Americans.”
