Woman Shoots Armed Ex After He Broke Into Her Apartment

MOBILE, ALABAMA — A man is hospitalized after a break-in at a woman’s apartment led to her shooting him, as reported by the Mobile Police Department. The incident occurred at The Estates at Lafayette Square around 12:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, following a domestic complaint about a burglary.

The man, identified as the woman’s ex-boyfriend, forcefully entered her apartment with a gun. In response, the woman shot him, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

After receiving medical treatment, the man is expected to be transferred to Mobile Metro Jail.
