Tulsa Burglary Suspect Shot In The Rear By Armed Resident

TULSA, OK (1 minute read) – A burglary suspect is currently hospitalized following a shooting incident at a Tulsa apartment complex early Monday.

According to Tulsa Police, officers were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a resident who reported shooting an individual he had discovered attempting to burglarize his storage shed. The resident recounted confronting the suspect as he attempted to flee the scene and also noticed him tampering with vehicle doors within the complex.

The confrontation escalated in a nearby field where a verbal dispute led the resident to shoot the suspect in the left buttock. Authorities have interviewed the resident, who has not been charged in connection with the shooting.

As of this morning, the suspect remains in the hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.
