The shooting occurred around 1:20 a.m. on August 9, near West 44th Street and 7th Avenue, which is one of the busiest intersections in the city.
Police say a 19-year-old man was shot in the right foot, a 65-year-old man was struck in the left leg, and an 18-year-old woman sustained a graze wound to the neck. All three were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
Social media videos captured the chaos outside the Hard Rock Cafe as tourists and locals ran for cover. Witnesses described seeing bullet holes in a nearby car’s window. A 17-year-old suspect was arrested just blocks from the scene, and police recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
