TrueTimber Partners with Rugged Cross Hunting Blinds on Patented Blind Technology

INMAN, S.C. – July 16, 2026 – TrueTimber, the world’s best-selling camo brand, is proud to announce its partnership with Rugged Cross Hunting Blinds to expand the reach of Rugged Cross’ patented see-through hunting blind technology. Through the partnership, TrueTimber will produce hunting blinds featuring Rugged Cross’ patented see-through technology and TrueTimber camo patterns. By combining this innovative technology with TrueTimber’s nationwide retail footprint and industry-leading brand presence, the partnership will make this next-generation hunting blind technology more accessible to hunters across the country.

Founded by brothers Chris and Tim Seaton, lifelong outdoorsmen and public servants, Rugged Cross grew from firsthand experience in the field. Chris, a retired law enforcement officer, and Tim, a licensed contractor and career firefighter, set out to solve a problem they had encountered for years by creating a hunting blind that delivered the durability, visibility and weather resistance they expected. Their solution became an American-made hunting blind featuring innovative see-through mesh technology, now protected by four issued U.S. patents.

“This partnership brings together two companies that share a passion for innovation and a commitment to serving hunters with products that perform in the field,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “Like TrueTimber, Rugged Cross is a family-owned business built on hard work, integrity and a relentless drive to improve the hunting experience. We’re proud to help expand the reach of this technology and make it accessible to hunters across the country.”

In May of 2025, Rugged Cross secured a landmark patent victory. The Inter Partes Review (IPR), initiated by DBR Finance, sought to invalidate Rugged Cross’s core patent. After months of legal scrutiny, expert analysis and technical review, the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) concluded that every challenged claim was patentable. The ruling affirmed Rugged Cross’s position as the originator and rightful owner of the groundbreaking see-through mesh hunting blind technology, now protected under four issued U.S. patents.

“At Rugged Cross, we partner with companies that value integrity, innovation and respect for intellectual property,” said Chris Seaton. “We’re honored to welcome TrueTimber into our family of American licensing partners and look forward to advancing American innovation together while delivering the next generation of hunting products.”

With the partnership now underway, TrueTimber and Rugged Cross are positioned to introduce a new generation of hunting blinds to outdoor enthusiasts across the country. Together, the companies aim to combine innovation, quality and trusted performance while continuing to develop products that meet the evolving needs of today’s hunters.
