The More Like Wynne Foundation Invests in Richardson ISD Students Through Gift to Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation

San Antonio, TX (July, 2026) Richardson Independent School District (ISD) students will soon have new opportunities to learn about conservation, wildlife management, hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and outdoor recreation through the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation’s Outdoor Adventures curriculum, made possible by a gift from The More Like Wynne Foundation.

The donation will be presented on August 5th at Moss Haven Elementary and will support the expansion of Outdoor Adventures, a nationally recognized curriculum that brings outdoor education into the classroom. The program combines classroom instruction with practical outdoor knowledge, giving students a foundation in conservation, outdoor ethics, and responsible stewardship of natural resources.

The More Like Wynne Foundation was established to honor Wynne Naylor’s passion for community, conservation, and faith by creating opportunities that positively impact future generations. Supporting the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation reflects the Foundation’s commitment to helping young people discover the outdoors while learning the importance of protecting the resources that make those experiences possible.

The gift will help Richardson ISD continue providing students with educational experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom learning. Through Outdoor Adventures, students gain exposure to conservation, wildlife management, hunting, fishing, shooting sports and various outdoor recreation activities while building confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills.

“Our goal is to invest in the next generation,” said Cole Naylor, Wynne Naylor’s father, co-founder of More Like Wynne Foundation. “When young people are given opportunities to experience the outdoors, they develop skills, confidence, an appreciation for conservation, and a purpose within their community.”

The Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to outdoor education through its Outdoor Adventures curriculum, which is taught in schools across the country. The program equips students with the knowledge and skills to safely participate in hunting, fishing, archery, shooting sports, wildlife management, and other outdoor activities while reinforcing the principles of conservation and responsible stewardship.

“Outdoor education is about much more than learning new skills,” said Dr. Keith Tidball, Executive Director of OTF. “It’s about helping students understand where our natural resources come from, why conservation matters, and how they can become responsible stewards of the outdoors for years to come.”

Richardson ISD serves more than 37,000 students across North Texas and is committed to preparing students through innovative learning opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom. The addition of Outdoor Adventures gives students another avenue to build practical skills while connecting classroom lessons with real-world experiences.

Leaders from The More Like Wynne Foundation, the Outdoors Tomorrow Foundation, and Richardson ISD will gather at Moss Haven Elementary on August 5th to recognize the partnership and the opportunities it will create for local students. The event will include remarks from organizational leadership, a ceremonial presentation, and media interview opportunities.

As schools continue looking for meaningful ways to engage students beyond the classroom, this partnership demonstrates how conservation organizations, philanthropy, and public education can work together to create lasting opportunities for young people and strengthen the future of the outdoors.
