CHARLESTON, S.C. — August 6, 2026 — Murray Road Agency, an award-winning and leading marketing agency serving the outdoor industry, is proud to announce its partnership with Outdoor Life on the production of Catching Em’ Old School with The Griz, an original video series celebrating legendary Midwestern angler Dick Grzywinski, better known to generations of fishermen as “The Griz.”
The premium digital series follows Grzywinski as he shares the timeless fishing techniques, hard-earned knowledge and unforgettable stories accumulated over more than six decades on the water. Rather than chasing trends or flashy production, Catching Em’ Old School with The Griz focuses on authenticity.
The series builds upon Murray Road and Outdoor Life’s 2023 documentary profiling Grzywinski’s remarkable career as a guide across Minnesota’s legendary fisheries, including Mille Lacs Lake and the Mississippi River. The film explored not only his success as an angler, but also the lasting impact he has had on the sport, from pioneering widely adopted walleye jigging techniques to helping advance conservation efforts such as catch-and-release regulations on portions of the Mississippi River.
Now 84 years old, Grzywinski remains one of freshwater fishing’s most respected and recognizable figures.
Catching Em’ Old School with The Griz continues that story, documenting both the man and the wisdom he’s accumulated over a lifetime devoted to fishing. With five episodes released and additional installments currently in production, the series serves as a living archive of knowledge that might otherwise be lost with time.
The response from anglers has been overwhelming. Across the documentary and series, Murray Road’s content about “The Griz” has generated more than 900,000 views across five videos, demonstrating a strong appetite for authentic storytelling and educational fishing content.
The newest episode is now available on Outdoor Life’s YouTube channel where Grzywinski heads out in pursuit of northern pike before demonstrating his signature, old-school approach to cleaning and filleting the species.
