PEARLAND, Texas – Longshot Cameras is giving precision shooters a first look at an upcoming addition to its growing lineup of reloading technology: the Longshot Precision Trickler, powered by OpenTrickler.
Designed for serious handloaders, competitive shooters and long-range rifle enthusiasts, the automated powder trickling system is engineered to provide consistent, repeatable powder charges while making the reloading process more efficient.
Built around the proven OpenTrickler platform, the Longshot Precision Trickler is designed to integrate with the Longshot Precision Scale, creating a streamlined system for measuring and dispensing precise powder charges. The system is intended to reduce the time spent manually measuring individual charges while giving handloaders greater control over load development.
“The Precision Trickler represents where we see precision reloading technology going,” said Clay Rhoden, President of Longshot Cameras. “Consistency is critical when developing ammunition for competition and long-range shooting, and we wanted to bring technology to the loading bench that helps shooters achieve that consistency more efficiently.”
The Precision Trickler features an open powder flow path designed to provide smooth, consistent powder delivery across a wide range of powders while helping reduce bridging during dispensing. An integrated mounting system keeps the trickler properly aligned with the scale throughout the loading process.
Additional features include a bright backlit display with live charge feedback, precision trickling adjustments for different powder types, durable all-metal construction and a compact footprint designed to fit easily on most reloading benches. The system offers 0.001-gram readability and a 120-gram maximum capacity, making it suitable for developing precision hunting loads, competition ammunition and long-range rifle cartridges.
Longshot expects the Precision Trickler to become available in the first quarter of 2027, with additional information, availability and ordering details to be announced as the product moves closer to production.
