Musky, redfish, stripers, trophy bass, and other predators: you’re on notice. Answering the call of anglers for a larger and more powerful SEVIIN casting reel, the all-new LUNEX Series is the culmination of three years of research and development.
Designed and ruthlessly tested in Park Falls, Wisconsin, LUNEX brings the tuneability, castability, and reliability anglers have come to expect from SEVIIN GF, GS, and GX Series casting reels to a larger, 300-size all-water casting reel. In addition to LUNEX’s freshwater applications, selected materials and componentry, internal build specs, and specified lubrication make LUNEX a great option for saltwater anglers employing standard care and freshwater rinsing.
LUNEX reels are crafted on a robust and lightweight one-piece aluminum frame. Combining extreme strength with maximum rigidity, the one-piece AluChassis works with an aluminum gear-side plate to isolate gears and eliminate flex that leads to premature wear and reel failure.
Gears themselves are a SEVIIN TruTorque design, consisting of an oversized brass drive gear and a hard-brass pinion gear, for maximum longevity and exceptional feel while fighting big fish and retrieving large, hard-pulling lures.
The LUNEX 10+1 TIII bearing system utilizes premium-quality Japanese spool bearings – the same bearings that are often added by anglers as an aftermarket upgrade on other reels – to support maximum casting distance, smooth longevity, and worry-free operation right out of the box.
Premium friction washers in the LUNEX CarbonGlyde drag are made from woven carbon fiber and are virtually impervious to wear. They’re mated to high-quality stainless-steel washers for consistent smoothness over all settings and up to 33 pounds of lockdown.
Other angler-friendly features engineered into LUNEX include a thick, 105mm CarbonPro handle with oversized premium EVA paddle grips and a micro-adjustable magnetic casting brake.
Weighing in at just 9.3 ounces, four 300-size LUNEX casting models are available in 6.3:1 and 7.1:1 gear ratios with right or left retrieve.
