Derek Sevcik Appointed as EVP of Operations at Outdoor Sportsman Group

DENVER (May 20, 2024) – In a  move designed to enhance operational  effectiveness and maximize growth opportunities, Outdoor Sportsman Group’s CEO Mike Carney has announced the promotion of Derek Sevcik to the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) of Operations.

With a track record of strong financial management and organizational acumen, Sevcik’s accomplishments in the Company’s Publishing and Branded Media divisions have been material, and his elevation to this new role will improve Outdoor Sportsman Group’s (OSG) operational capabilities across its market-leading media portfolio. In his new capacity, Sevcik will have oversight and responsibility for ensuring that the company’s integrated business units operate effectively and efficiently, while exploiting growth opportunities in new and legacy media. His purview will extend across broadcast and video, MyOutdoorTV, digital, social media, print, Major League Fishing (MLF), and new business projects.

“As we continue to optimize our financial progress and recognize the ongoing achievements within our team, promoting Sevcik to EVP of Operations is a key step,” said Mike Carney, President & CEO of Outdoor Sportsman Group. “His keen understanding of our operational needs and his vision for growth align perfectly with our company’s goals. His leadership qualities and operational acumen will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our offerings across all platforms.”

In his role as EVP of Operations, Sevcik will report directly to Mike Carney and work closely with all department heads to continue to steer OSG towards operational excellence and success.
