Christensen Arms Announces Search for Vice President of Operations to Lead Next Phase of Growth and Innovation

Gunnison, Utah — November 25, 2025 — Christensen Arms, a leader in premium precision firearms known for its innovation, accuracy, and craftsmanship, announces the launch of an executive search for a Vice President of Operations. This senior leadership role will oversee all operational functions and play a critical part in driving the company’s next phase of growth, manufacturing excellence, and strategic transformation.

For 30 years, Christensen Arms has pushed the boundaries of precision firearms manufacturing—pioneering carbon fiber–barreled rifles, advancing composite stock technology, and delivering market-leading accuracy to hunting and shooting enthusiasts. As demand for its premium products continues to rise, the company is making strategic investments in operational leadership to support its long-term expansion.

A Pivotal Executive Role

Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Operations will lead all manufacturing, supply chain, MRP, quality, IT, facilities, logistics, and safety functions. This executive will be responsible for aligning day-to-day operations with Christensen Arms’ core strategic pillars: industry-leading accuracy, advanced product design, operational integrity, and world-class manufacturing performance.

“This position is central to our ability to scale efficiently while maintaining the craftsmanship, precision, and reliability our customers expect,” said Matt Fleming, President of Christensen Arms. “We are seeking a transformative operational leader who can elevate our manufacturing capabilities and strengthen our position as the premier brand in the premium precision firearms category.”

Position Focus & Strategic Impact

The Vice President of Operations will translate the company’s strategic direction into operational excellence by:

  • Driving world-class manufacturing performance across machining, carbon fiber, assembly, finishing, and testing.
  • Ensuring industry-leading accuracy and quality through rigorous process control and a continuous improvement culture.
  • Strengthening supply chain resilience, inventory accuracy, MRP discipline, and material availability.
  • Leading Lean, 5S, automation, and efficiency initiatives to improve throughput, productivity, and cost.
  • Supporting rapid innovation and new product development for faster time-to-market and scalable production.
  • Building operational reliability that deepens trust with dealers, distributors, and the company’s growing DTC channel.

This leader will help enhance financial performance through disciplined cost control, optimized production planning, productivity improvements, and increased inventory turns. Long-term priorities include scaling operational capabilities, improving profitability, and supporting continued product innovation.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will bring:

  • 10+ years of manufacturing operations leadership, ideally within firearms, defense, aerospace, or other high-precision industries.
  • Strong expertise in machining, composites, supply chain, MRP, quality systems, Lean, continuous improvement, and team development.
  • Experience driving operational transformation and scaling complex manufacturing organizations.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and success managing operational KPIs, budgets, and accountability.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain firearms-related certifications and clearances.

Location

This role is based at Christensen Arms’ headquarters in Gunnison, Utah.
