Bass Pro Shops Contributes ,000 to Advance National Conservation Efforts

Washington, D.C. – A $15,000 organizational support donation from Bass Pro Shops is helping strengthen national efforts to advance hunting, shooting sports, and conservation. The contribution was awarded to Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (Council) to further its mission of supporting state agencies, industry partners, and nonprofit organizations engaged in Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) initiatives.

The Council works nationally to increase participation in hunting and the shooting sports, recognizing their critical role in the promotion and growth of hunting and the shooting sports and the education of the public on the contributions that hunters and shooters make towards wildlife conservation. Organizational support donations such as this one help expand educational resources, professional development, and strategic partnerships that benefit wildlife agencies and conservation stakeholders across the country.

“We are deeply grateful to Bass Pro Shops for this generous investment in our work,” said Chuck Sykes, Executive Director of the Council. “Partnerships like this demonstrate a shared commitment to ensuring the future of hunting, recreational shooting, and conservation. Their support allows us to strengthen our national network and deliver tools and resources that help agencies and partners succeed.”

Bass Pro Shops has long been recognized for its leadership in conservation advocacy, outdoor education, and wildlife stewardship. The company provides support to initiatives throughout North America that connect new audiences to the outdoors, conserve wildlife and habitat and advocate for sportsmen’s rights.

The Council’s donation program, which provides opportunities for companies and individuals to invest directly in national R3 efforts, can be found at https://cahss.org/donate. Contributions help fund research, case studies, training programs, and collaborative projects designed to grow participation and secure sustainable conservation funding for the future.

The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports mission is to facilitate the promotion and growth of hunting and the shooting sports and the education of the public on the contributions that hunters and shooters make towards wildlife conservation. The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports is funded by a Multistate Conservation Grant (F25AP00113), from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and jointly administered with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.
