ALPS Mountaineering’s new Trailblazer air pad is designed to add an extra measure of warmth to extend camping comfort across multiple seasons. The Trailblazer adds additional insulating performance by way of e five layers of reflective film to capture body heat and minimize radiant heat loss. The total R-value is a generous 8.0, meaning campers can stay warmer in colder conditions.
The Trailblazer air pad uses a 20D nylon TPU shell made from 100-percent recycled plastic, keeping with the ALPS Mountaineering R3 (Reduce • Reuse • Recycle) sustainability initiative.
The Trailblazer mattress comes with a durable stuff sack for compact storage and transportation, which also doubles as a high-volume air sack for quick inflation via the pad’s flat valve. The pad can easily be inflated with the ALPS Mountaineering Nano air pump available separately. For field repairs, a convenient repair kit is included.
