SITKA Gear announces the YouTube premiere of its latest film, “100 Rams: This One’s for Lee,” a moving tribute to the legendary hunting guide and outfitter Lee Hart. This film, debuting on October 24, captures the essence of friendship, mentorship and the relentless pursuit of a lifelong dream.
In the rugged backcountry of Montana, Lee Hart, age 83, is on the brink of an extraordinary milestone: the completion of his 100th successful sheep hunt. With 99 successful hunts as both hunter and guide to his credit, Lee’s goal is within reach, but time is running out.
When Tyler Johnerson, Lee’s mentee and friend, draws a coveted, once-in-a-lifetime sheep tag in Lee’s hunt unit, he seizes the opportunity to honor his mentor, insisting Lee join him for the hunt. Their journey through breathtaking landscapes and the highs and lows of such an endeavor showcases the indomitable spirit of the hunt.
“The time I’ve spent with Lee in my early 20’s inspired and helped spawn my career and passion in the outdoors. He gave me so much insight into what it meant to be a true woodsman,” said Johnerson. “I’ll always cherish the times we’ve spent together and the hundreds of miles we’ve sat in the saddle just taking it in.”
The film is a collaborative effort with the Wild Sheep Foundation, highlighting the commitment to wildlife conservation and the preservation of hunting heritage.
