Real Avid, the leader in DIY for Guns®, knows that being truly “Range Ready™” starts long before the first round is fired. As shooters continue fine-tuning rifles for greater precision at distance, proper optics setup has become a critical part of maximizing performance. Real Avid equips firearm owners with professional-grade tools designed to simplify optics mounting, improve rifle setup, and deliver repeatable accuracy every time they hit the range. From bore sighting and scope leveling to precise torque application, Real Avid gives shooters confidence that their rifles are properly dialed in before ever leaving the bench.
A successful range day begins with preparation. Before heading out, shooters should verify optic alignment, confirm mounting hardware is secure, and ensure every fastener is tightened to manufacturer specifications. Improperly mounted optics can lead to shifting zero, inconsistent accuracy, and unnecessary frustration on the firing line. Real Avid’s Range Ready™ mindset focuses on eliminating those issues through proper setup and repeatable precision.
Optics mounting best practices start with using the correct tools. Applying precise torque to rings and bases prevents damage to optics while maintaining reliable retention under recoil. Leveling the rifle and scope ensures accurate reticle alignment, especially for long-range shooting applications where even slight cant can impact shot placement. Bore sighting before live fire also saves valuable ammunition and speeds up the zeroing process once shooters arrive at the range.
To help shooters build the ultimate optics setup, Real Avid offers purpose-built solutions including the Master Grade®Scope Mounting & Bore Sighting Kit, Smart-Torq® Adjustable Limiter and X3™ Driver Kit, Level-Right®Pro, and Accu-Grip™ Picks & Brushes for cleaning hard-to-reach carbon and debris around mounting surfaces. Together, these tools help shooters stay organized, precise, and confidently Range Ready™ every time they step onto the firing line.
