The Boone and Crockett Club, based in Missoula, Montana, is the oldest nonprofit organization dedicated to wildlife conservation and Fair Chase hunting in North America. Operating as a member-run, staff-supported organization, the Club combines the passion and expertise of Club members with professional staff capabilities to make a meaningful impact on conservation efforts and ethical hunting practices in North America through collaborative, member-led initiatives. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for oversight of daily operations and provides management and support to staff at the Missoula headquarters and Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch (TRM Ranch) near Dupuyer, Montana.

“The Chief Operating Officer is a key new position within our organization, and we are committed to recruit the right person who will play a critical part in continuing to grow our impact in the conservation community,” commented Steve Leath, the Club’s executive vice president for conservation who is leading the search team. “The Boone and Crockett Club has nearly 140 years of leadership promoting Fair Chase hunting ethics, university programs, education, and our well-known conservation policy efforts. Our new COO will be part of a team of professional staff who are helping to implement these member-driven priorities.”

The COO will work from the Club’s headquarters office in Missoula, Montana, and will play a key role in human resources and team development as well as overall organizational operations management. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the values and mission of the Boone and Crockett Club, documented management and leadership accomplishments, strong ethical standards and integrity, adaptability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment, and attention to detail combined with strategic thinking ability.

A full job description is posted on the B&C website. Applications may be submitted through September 19 to [email protected].
