First Look: Mesa Tactical Acro Mount

Mesa Tactical, a company known for its many shotgun-related accessories, has recently added a new optics mount that fits atop Benelli M4-pattern shotgun receivers and accommodates the popular Aimpoint Acro optics-mounting footprint. The Mesa Tactical Aimpoint Acro Mount is designed to replace the existing factory-installed Benelli M-4 Picatinny rail and be installed over the same drilled and tapped holes, The mount is also intended to provide the correct amount of height in order to make any Acro-pattern optic co-witness with the Benelli M4 Tactical’s ghost-ring sights.

Mesa Tactical Acro Mount Features:

  • Optics mount with Aimpoint Acro footprint
  • Absolute co-witness with factory ghost-ring sights
  • Machined from aircraft aluminum
  • Type 3 hard coat anodized for durable flat-black finish
  • Mounts via drilled and tapped receiver holes
  • 100 percent made in America

This new product launch on behalf of Mesa Tactical comes after the company’s success with their Trijicon RMR optics footprint specific mounts. Like the RMR-compatible Mesa Tactical units, the new Aimpoint Acro units are also machined from durable aluminum and can be purchased as standalone mounts or as part of the unique Mesa Tactical SureShell shotgun shell carriers that combine the mount with a floating shell carrier assembly.

“Following the success of our RMR reflex sight mounts, we’ve seen growing demand for a solution that accommodates the increasingly popular closed-emitter reflex sights,” said Mitch Barrie, President of Mesa Tactical. “The Acro and similar sights offer superior protection from the elements and debris, which is particularly valuable for tactical shotgun applications. This new mount gives Benelli M4 owners a rock-solid mounting solution for these advanced optics.”

The new Mesa Tactical Acro pattern mount’s retail pricing begins at $69.95. To learn more about it or explore other tactical shotgun related products offered by Mesa Tactical, visit mesatactical.com.
