Made in America, Live Free Armory releases its Apollo 11 double stack 1911. Utilizing the 2011 double stack platform, the pistol boasts 17 rounds of 9mm freedom seeds. In addition, the combination of an optic cut slide, match grade barrel, innovative recoil system, and 3.5-pound tricked-out trigger promises enhanced accuracy.

Featuring a sleek profile, the Apollo 11 builds on a 4140 steel frame with a durable finish in Elite Black, Elite FDE, and Elite Grey. Additionally, the PA12 Nylon 3D printed grip module has a fish scale texturing for enhanced retention during courses of fire. Likewise, the aluminum backstrap continues the fish scale texturing to finish the aesthetic and add to the retention.

The grip also features an extended beavertail grip safety to provide an extra level of safety and mitigate slide bite. In addition, the squared trigger guard includes a slight undercut to promote a higher purchase for enhanced recoil control. Just forward of the trigger guard is a four-slot Picatinny rail to allow the installation of a light or laser.

A 416 stainless steel slide with Carakote finish and aggressive forward and rear cocking serrations ride atop the frame. The aiming solution consists of a serrated rear sight coupled with a tritium front sight, providing a 5.92-inch sight radius. However, just forward of the rear sight is the optic cut for the RMSc footprint.

Housed within the slide is a 4.9-inch match-grade, bushingless barrel, with 1:16 left hand twist, chambered in 9mm. Shots are fired via the finely tuned trigger with a 3.5-pound pull and crisp, consistent break. The trigger is accompanied by an innovative recoil reduction system to deliver minimal recoil for increased accuracy and rapid follow-up shots.

Offering 17+1 capacity, the Apollo 11 ships with one magazine. Finally, accompanying the grip safety, an ambidextrous thumb safety makes the 1911 safe when not firing.

The Apollo 11 is currently shipping. However, Live Free Armory is fulfilling its wait list orders on a first come first serve basis. So, if you would like an Apollo 11, make sure to get on the waiting list as soon as possible.

The Live Free Armory Apollo 11 is available for pre-order now with an MSRP of $979.00. For more info, please visit LiveFreeArmory.com.
