Based on the popular MCX-Rattler, the new SIG MCX-Rattler LT brings PDW features in a more modular, capable package. Designed to meet the needs of Special Operations forces, the MCX-Rattler LT comes fully ambidextrous and ready for most any mission.

SIG MCX-Rattler LT Details

The platform offers either 6.75- or 7.75-inch barrels chambered in .300 BLK, 5.56mm NATO or 7.62×39. It comes with an ambidextrous bolt catch and bolt release to facilitate the manual of arms. An adjustable gas pistol enables shooters to regulate gas depending on suppressor use. Fitted with the SIG QD suppressor-ready flash hider, it comes can-ready as well.

A flat-blade trigger helps shooters extract the most accuracy potential. The platform also works with all MCX barrels and handguards, enabling further customization down the road. A completely modular system, users can simply mix and match SIG parts.

Editor’s Take:

We’ve put some rounds through the original MCX-Rattler around here, and it comprises one seriously awesome PDW machine. With the current state of the pistol brace favorable once more, look for manufacturers to start pushing pistol platforms again. The MCX-Rattler LT has the bones to run as an SBR or pistol, depending on your preference and tax goals. In any configuration, this one looks like a winner. We hope to get a true field test conducted in short order, so stay tuned!
