SHOT Show 2025 Roundup: New Products From Magpul

Magpul Industries, one of the firearms world’s most popular companies in the shooting and outdoor space, is releasing several new products at this year’s SHOT Show. Below is a selection of a few new items.

Magpul x Maztech X4 FCS + X4 LRF

Magpul has been collaborating with Maztech in the development of the Maztech X4-FCS (fire control system). This device pairs to most 30 mm tube diameter LPVOs that are commonly mounted atop modern carbines in order to provide real-time ballistic firing solutions by taking environmental and atmospheric variables into consideration thanks to the Maztech X4-FCS’s implementation of Applied Ballistics software and databases. In short, when the X4-FCS is combined with the Maztech X4-LRF (laser rangefinder) it “magically” [editor’s note: OK, it’s not magic, but it’s a ton of science and such…] signals the shooter exactly where to aim and hold while looking through the 30 mm LPVO mounted over their long-gun.

Magpul x Zev Technologies FDP

Besides Maztech, Magpul has been collaborating with Zev Technologies to launch the FDP, the 9 mm Folding Defensive Platform. This one of a kind large format pistol, also available as an SBR (FDP-C), folds into itself for quick storage and is easy to deploy when needed. The concept was first introduced at Shot SHOW 2008 nearly two decades ago as the FMG-9 and became one of the company’s more iconic products from that era alongside the original Magpul Masada. The new FDP is based on Zev’s Glock-pattern internal parts and was designed to be fully ambidextrous and user friendly. It’s manufactured with high-impact polymers which Magpul is well-known for along with durable nitrided 4140 steels.

DAKA Large Range Bag

The new DAKA Large Range Bag sits among many of the soft goods that Magpul is unveiling this year. This sleek, rugged and waterproof 40-liter, square range bag has a contemporary yet discreet look that doesn’t scream “gun inside” while also being optimized to organize and sort everything a shooter might need when going to the range to train, shoot or compete. This range bag is feature-rich and has pockets that can accommodate AR or modern double-stack pistol magazines. All of its compartments, be it the main or the side ones have YKK Aquaguard zippers that keep water from seeping into the bag through the mesh of the zipper. Likewise for additional weatherproofing capabilities, all of the DAKA Range Bag’s seams are welded.

MOE QD Bipod For M-Lok

In 2025, Magpul will be shipping a new M-Lok-compatible MOE QD bipod. Compared to the original Magpul MOE M-Lok Bipod which uses two screws and two T-nuts to clamp into a standard size M-Lok slock, the new MOE QD M-Lok Bipod does away with that and instead makes use of a giant attachment knob that snugs up a solid steel extension perpendicular to the M-Lok slot in question. Beyond this toolless and fast attachment method, the new Magpul MOE QD Bipod is also 40 percent lighter than some of Magpul’s older MOE bipod models. The bipod extends from 7 to 10 inches and its grippy rubber feet can be swapped out for Atlas bipod style aftermarket foot attachments.

6mm ARC ICAR PMag

The 6mm ARC developed by Hornady a few years ago is beginning to pick up steam in the semi-automatic rifle and carbine sector of the firearms industry, and this year Magpul is launching a dedicated Gen 3 windowed 25-round PMag magazine that was built from the ground up to specifically accommodate the 6 mm ARC (Advanced Rifle Cartridge) round. Due to the similar external dimensions between the 6 mm ARC and the .338 ARC (also developed by Hornady), Magpul’s new magazine will also feed the latter. However it’s important to keep in mind that the Magpul 6mm ARC ICAR PMag is not compatible with standard AR-15 pattern lower receiver magwells. Instead it fits rifles such as the Surefire ICAR carbine and other firearms with magazine wells based off the LWRCI Six8 mag well.
