Hornady employs RFID technology for rapid deployment of arms. The system activates via a wristband, key fob or sticker. The AR Gun Locker programs up to five RFID tags for a personalized experience. Further, a secondary method incorporates a configured security code of four to six digits, enabling an alternative entry and providing flexibility and greater convenience.
The AR Gun Locker system surpasses ASTM international thresholds for safety standards, according to Hornady. The Gun Locker excels in child and pry resistance, lock potency, and durability against various attacks. The AC and battery-powered options guarantee vigilance and preparedness, ensuring firearms remain ready to face a potential threat.
The exterior housing utilizes thick, 16-gauge steel with four internal hardened locking lugs. The ensemble includes a cable and pre-drilled mounting apertures for extra protection.
The entire package includes the RAPid Safe, wall power supply, RFID wristband, two RFID stickers, RFID key fob, two circular barrel keys and a security cable. The XL version holds three guns, while the standard fits two carbines. It mounts vertically or horizontally, and even fits under a bet, in the back of an SUV, or mounts in a closet.
