The rechargeable dehumidifier actively traps moisture and has crystals that turn colors–from orange to green when the device needs to be recharged (by plugging into a standard 110 Volt outlet until the crystals change color back to orange again). The hygrometer and dehumidifier are the two most-critical accessories in the SnapSafe accessory pack for safe and trouble-free long term firearm storage, the rest of the suite also includes items of convenience.
