First Look: Nextorch X-Carry Flashlight Holster

Nextorch Industries has just launched three new flashlight holsters, the V35 X-Carry, V55 and V55L X-Carry NQD Holster systems that are meant to carry Nextorch flashlights on utility or duty belts.

The Nextorch V35 X-Carry Flashlight Holster is one of Nextorch flagship designs which uses the company’s NQD (Nextorch Quick Draw) mechanism and is specifically designed for the Nextorch TA 30C and TA 20 flashlight models using the FR-1 finger ring. The V35 X-Carry is designed to hold the flashlight with its bezel oriented towards the ground so that the rear of the light and its finger ring are oriented up to make the light easier to deploy from the holster. The holster also can also rotate 360 degrees while holding the light so that the end user can angle the light in front of them as needed without having to hold it directly, thus freeing up their hands for other tasks. The attachment portion of the Nextorch V35 X-Carry is designed to be compatible with both duty and standard belts of varying widths in addition to cross compatibility with MOLLE systems as well.

V-35 X Carry Specifications:

  • Material: Fiberglass reinforced nylon
  • Suitable Belt Widths: 1½ to 2 inches
  • Weight: 2.6 ounces
  • Dimensions: 5 x 2 x 2½ inches
  • Compatibility: Nextorch TA30C and TA20 with the FR-1 Finger Ring.

The Nextorch V55 and V55L (Large) X-Carry Holsters are designed to work similarly to the Nextorch V-35 X-Carry with the downward facing flashlight orientation as long as the locking 360-degree rotational capability to hold a light at a defined angle. The primary difference between the V55 series is that, unlike the V-35 X-Carry which is only compatible with the Nextorch TA30C or TA20 lights, the V55 series is compatible with a range of flashlights, even those made by different companies. Depending on the version, the V-55 series can hold normal or larger flashlights of varying dimensions.

V-55 Series Specifications

  • Material: Crafted from durable fiberglass reinforced nylon.
  • Belt Compatibility: Suitable for belt widths between 38 to 50 mm.
  • Weight: The standard model weighs 2.7 ounces, and the large model is 2.8 ounces.
  • Dimensions: Standard – 5 x 2 x 1½ inches; Large – 5.2 x 2 x 2½ inches.
  • Flashlight Fit: Standard fits flashlights with a .82- to 1.22-inch head diameter and .75- to .9-inch body diameter. The large unit accommodates 1-inch head diameter flashlights with a .95- to 1.10-inch body diameter.
