First Look: Magpul UCS Stock

Magpul is announcing the new Magpul UCS, a highly-featured stock designed for rear-mounted, vertical M1913/Picatinny rails. The UCS can accommodate the wide variety of charging-handle styles and configurations, ejection-port locations and control placement. The stock features a reversible hinge for left- and right-folding configurations, and 5 degrees of drop for clearance—most stocks feature less of a drop, which doesn’t work for all firearms. The UCS stock also ships with two reversible cheek risers (½ inch and ¾ inch), and when combined with the reversible M1913 clamp, which allows for a 1/2-slot height adjustment along the rear rail for increased comb height flexibility, the shooter can set up the head placement for an optimal sight picture using iron sights or optics. The stock also gives shooters 3 inches of length-of-pull (LOP) adjustment across six positions, which can be adjusted via the LOP buttons. All this adjustability means that the USC stock can fit just about any shooter, with and without armor or other bulky equipment and only adds about 18 ounces of weight to a firearm. The UCS’s sling attachment point is an anti-rotational QD socket that’s reversible, and the stock is also compatible with MOE SL and DT butt pads.

UCS Features:

  • Six position, push-button adjustable LOP (3-inch total adjustment)
  • Reversible folding mechanism
  • Toolless removable and reversible cheek risers included (½ inch and ¾ inch)
  • 5 degree drop angle for charging handle and ejection port clearance
  • Reversible M1913 clamp for half-slot height adjustment
  • Reversible anti-rotation QD Socket
  • Weighs just over 18 ounces

The USC is available in black or FDE (Flat Dark Earth) with an MSRP of $219.95. For more information on this new stock or other products made by Magpul, visit magpul.com.
