First Look: Breakthrough Clean Technologies Rust Remover

Breakthrough Clean Technologies has just launched a new rust-removal compound, simply named “Rust Remover.” This water-based product is intended to pull active rust off metal surfaces and can be used to soak entire areas. It can also be used for precise spot applications to target select areas in and around the firearm.

Breakthrough Clean Technologies Rust Remover Features and Benefits:

  • Effectively removes rust through both precise and soaking applications.
  • Works in as little as 5 minutes for quick rust removal; can soak for up to 6 hours for deep cleaning.
  • Suitable for use on plastic, PVC, Viton, and most paints without causing damage.
  • Can be reused multiple times for soaking applications, maximizing value and efficiency.
  • Non-toxic and environmentally friendly, easy to clean up.
  • Available in different quantities, for both personal or professional shop use., smaller bottles have different type of application nozzles.
  • Manufactured in the U.S.

Rust, a type of corrosion, is the by-product of a chemical reaction between iron and oxygen in the presence of water (moist air). In addition to anti-gun politicians, rust is one of the primary enemies to firearms, because the chemical reaction dissolves the original material found on firearms’ surfaces. Once converted into rust, those steel particles are forever gone and cannot be replaced, hence pitted surfaces when the active rust is cleaned up. Breakthrough Clean Technologies Rust Remover is sold in bottles of 2, 6 and 32 ounces with prices varying between $9.99 to $47.99, depending on volume.
