B5 Systems, known for AR-15 and AR-308 pattern stock sets and pistols grips, is going retro with their launch of their new CAR-15 series of retro styled AR-15 stocks, pistol grips and hand guards.

The new B5 Systems Retro Line includes:

CAR15 Stock:
Faithful to the original design, this mil-spec stock offers a nostalgic look while incorporating modern materials for improved durability. It features sharp checkering and fixed sling mounts.

LS2 Pistol Grip:
Combining a classic contour with advanced polymer construction and built in storage, this grip provides the perfect balance of nostalgia and functionality. The rear of the grip has a slightly different and more nuanced curvature for improved ergonomics.

CAR15 6-Hole Handguards:
These drop in carbine handguards capture the original slim 6-hole design with integral heat shield.

The term CAR-15 is a catch-all used to describe any AR-15 carbine or SBR variants, especially prior to the M-4 Carbine itself becoming codified and standardized in military small arms history during the 1980s. As a result, this term always carries the implication of “retro” or pre M-4 firearms. A notable example is the Vietnam War era fixed carry handle Colt Model 610 (also known as the XM177). This short-barreled rifle had a 10-inch barrel and an iconic 4.2 inch extended flash suppressor meant to reduce the firearm’s muzzle signature and balance out the shorter barrel, while still remaining compact and handy.

Each new B5 Systems Retro product is available in both black and olive drab green. This new retro series pays homage to classic AR15 parts and accessories while being made of modern materials and to the same exacting standards of all B5 Systems products. The retro line of products is perfect for both modern minimalist carbine builds or military cloner projects.
