Zelensky “Feels Betrayed” By The West As Focus Shifts To Israel

Ukrainian ruler Volodymyr Zelensky claims that he “feels betrayed” by the West as all of the focus shifts to Israel’s war with Palestine, and not many are concerned with his war with Russia anymore. Military aid is being sent to Israel instead and Zelensky is last month’s news now.

“Zelensky feels betrayed by his Western allies. They have left him without the means to win the war, only the means to survive it,” Time wrote, citing a member of his team. Rulers really don’t like it when their spotlight is given to someone else’s war.

Even though United States ruler Joe Biden pledged to support Kiev “for as long as it takes, Congress has failed to agree on a new aid bill for Ukraine as the Pentagon sends military assets to Israel in support of the war in the Middle East. Ten days after Zelensky returned to Kiev from Washington, lawmakers managed to pass a spending bill to avert a government shutdown, but only after stripping $6 billion in Ukraine funding from it, according to a report by RT.

“The scariest thing is that part of the world got used to the war in Ukraine,” Zelensky said. “Exhaustion with the war rolls along like a wave. You see it in the United States, in Europe. And we see that as soon as they start to get a little tired, it becomes like a show to them: ‘I can’t watch this rerun for the 10th time’.”

Zelensky also lamented that Israel is getting the weapons and military aid that used to be earmarked for him, saying that he is “losing out”. “It’s logical,” Zelensky told Time, adding that while “the world’s help is needed” in Israel, “we lose out.”

Public support for aid to Ukraine has been in decline for months in the U.S., and Zelensky’s visit to the ruling class did nothing to revive it.
