BUCKEYE, ARIZONA — Buckeye police are urgently requesting public assistance in identifying two individuals linked to a suspected assault and kidnapping at a local Circle K on February 23. The event occurred near Interstate 10 and Watson Road. Around 10:00 p.m., an eyewitness reported seeing a woman forcibly taken into a vehicle which then quickly departed.

Surveillance footage shows an SUV approaching a gas pump, a woman exiting and running towards the store, and a man exiting the SUV, capturing her, and pulling her back into the vehicle. Following the incident, the vehicle, believed to be a gray Nissan Rogue from 2021 to 2023, fled towards I-10.

“That video is extremely concerning to us, and we understand that that video would be concerning to the viewers that are watching it, so that’s why we were here today, asking for information from the public to help us identify these two subjects, to help identify them and see if this woman is OK,” Sgt. Tamela Skaggs told a local news outlet.

“We know nothing about these two subjects – if they know each other, if they’re in a relationship together – we don’t know anything about them,” said Sgt. Skaggs. “The timing in this investigation is extremely crucial. Watching that video, we are concerned for that female. They’re too many unknowns in this investigation. That video right now is all that we have.”

The police are appealing for any information regarding this incident and encourage anyone with knowledge to contact them at 623-349-6411 or submit tips online at www.buckeyeaz.gov/crimetip.
