HARRISON, TN — In a chilling sequence of events, a Harrison homeowner was forced to defend his home against armed intruders for the second consecutive night, resulting in a deadly confrontation. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is currently searching for two suspects who remain at large following a home invasion that led to gunfire and one suspect’s death.

The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. when three armed suspects forcibly entered the homeowner’s residence on the 6300 block of Shirley Pond Road. According to the HCSO, the homeowner confronted the intruders, leading to an exchange of gunfire. During the altercation, one suspect was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the scene, while the two other assailants fled by jumping through a window.

Despite an extensive search by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, K-9, Patrol Services, Investigative Services, and UAS Team (Drone), the remaining two suspects have evaded capture. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.

This marks the second consecutive night that the homeowner’s residence was targeted, raising concerns among neighbors in what is described as a typically safe community. The sheriff’s office, emphasizing the rarity of such crimes in the area, has appealed to the public for assistance. They are specifically requesting any home security surveillance footage from residents in the Shirley Pond Road vicinity that might capture passing vehicles or suspicious activity between midnight and 2 a.m. on March 26th.
