New AI Concealed Carry App Tells You If You’re Printing — Out Loud

New AI Concealed Carry App Tells You If You’re Printing — Out Loud

In a world where technology continues to evolve faster than common sense, a new app called PrintAlert AI has hit the market—and it’s already turning heads… literally.

Designed by a Silicon Valley startup with absolutely zero firearms experience, the app uses artificial intelligence, your phone’s camera, and a generous amount of overconfidence to determine whether you’re “printing” while carrying concealed. The catch? Instead of quietly notifying the user, the app loudly announces your status for all to hear.

“We wanted to solve a problem that didn’t exist in the most inconvenient way possible,” said Tyler Jims, founder of the startup VirtuTac Solutions. “This app brings a new level of awareness—and embarrassment—to the concealed carry community.”

Users report that PrintAlert AI will shout things like:

  • “YOU ARE CURRENTLY PRINTING ON YOUR STRONG SIDE.”
  • “YOUR GUN GRIP IS VISIBLE. WOULD YOU LIKE TO FILE A PUBLIC APOLOGY?”
  • “NICE GLOCK. SHAME ABOUT THE COVER GARMENT.”

The app claims to use “machine learning models trained on thousands of images of people standing awkwardly in mirrors” to determine printing severity. While still in beta, it offers three volume modes: “Normal,” “Embarrass Me in Public,” and “I Don’t Want My Permit Anymore.”

Early reviews are mixed. One user in Texas said, “It yelled at me while I was bending over to pick up a wrench. My neighbor called the cops.”

Another review reads: “It told me I was printing… but I wasn’t even carrying. Turns out it was detecting my love handles.”

When asked if the app would ever include a silent mode, developers said, “No. That defeats the whole purpose.”

Currently available only on Android, a future iOS version is in the works but is awaiting approval pending Apple’s new “No Loud Gun Apps” policy.
