Benchmade has dropped a new suite of special Osborne variations this month. The new Burnt Copper Aluminum sub-series brings an entirely new look into the long-running knife family, along with a very desirable blade steel.
Yes, we certainly do not need to discuss the Benchmade Osborne at this point, as it is easily one of the company’s most storied, famous models. But, seeing as it remains a personal favorite here at KnifeNews, we won’t pass up a chance to give this modern classic a brief precis: in short, the 940 is a super slim folder with a rad, all-purpose reverse tanto blade; the 945 delivers the same great design in a smaller package, while the 9400 spices things up with a full automatic deployment.
Despite its iconic status, I have never been much into the Osborne. I was always a griptillian guy, and then moved onto the BugOut.
