KnifeInformer: Civivi Vision FG Review

Greetings, knife enthusiasts, and welcome to my in-depth Civivi Vision FG review!

Today, we’re diving deep into what I firmly believe, without a doubt, is the most unique knife Civivi has ever brought to market. The Civivi Vision FG is a relatively new addition to its lineup, boasting several standout features that set it apart from the competition.

In this hands-on Civivi Vision FG review, I’ll share my experience and thoughts on what makes this knife so darn special. From its innovative Superlock mechanism to its incredible action and fidget factor, the Vision FG has a lot to offer.

So, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of this unique budget EDC knife!

Pros: Unique Superlock mechanism is a joy to fidget with. Incredibly smooth action, aided by the well-tuned detent and extra handle weight. Versatile reverse tanto blade shape with a slicy tip and nice belly. Comfortable handle ergonomics with contouring, chamfered edges, and strategic jimping. Thin behind-the-edge thickness for excellent slicing performance. Nitro-V blade steel provides good edge retention and corrosion resistance. Ambidextrous tip-up carry with a well-designed pocket clip. Impressive value for the price, with high-end features and materials. Widely available in various handle scale options, including G10 and Damascus.

Cons: Some may find the knife a bit heavy due to the Superlock mechanism. The Superlock could potentially disengage during extreme hard use (though unlikely in most scenarios). Micarta handle scales are not currently available (but may be in the future). The unique design may not appeal to those who prefer more traditional knife styles. Nitro-V, while a good budget steel, is not a super steel like M390 or S90V.
