DCA makes a compelling case that it does. One reason that MagnaCut has taken off is it is a same-supplier upgrade swap, which made it easy to adopt across the industry. But S35VN is still an excellent steel, and as David illustrates, now quite affordable.
And S30VN, which was one of the OG super steels, is now considered obsolete.
