KNIFE Magazine August 2024 issue Preview

KNIFE Magazine August 2024 issue Preview

Hey folks. August is upon us and we here at KNIFE are putting the final touches on the September issue before sending it off the other printer. My copy of August’s issue arrived over the weekend, so once again I have missed calling this a “Sneak Peek”, so I am just labeling this a “Preview”.

As always, August issue is chock-full of the variety of subject and topics that you have come to expect from KNIFE.  Our cover maker article on Michael Hobbs marks the KNIFE debut of Christopher Tighe, a Knoxville knife collector who you can find on instagram at @geezersedge . Check out his page, you will see someone with exquisite taste in modern customs and high end production knives.

Matthew Parkinson is back, and his “Parable of the NewGuy” should be must reading for makers looking to “go pro”.

History buffs will enjoy Jacob Hutti’s article on the McKinley Tarrif Act and its impact on American cutlery. Stan Hawkins talks knife shows, and Don Anderson gives us some background on Smiths Knives of New Zealand.  Good stuff all around.

Our regular columns are back, with a pair from J. Bruce Voyles, AKTI, Knife Rights, Knifemakers’ Guild, and of course my Knife News column.

The online version should be turned on for Premium Members sometime today.  You can see it here when it is up.
