GearPatrol: Leatherman’s Latest Limited-Edition Release Is the Furthest Thing from a Multi-Tool

Leatherman is widely known for making some of the most versatile products around. A company emerging from one man’s determination to create the ultimate multi-tool now offers a range of iterations that can do just about anything.

So it’s fitting that the brand would team up with perhaps the most versatile trio of brothers around. Over the past couple of decades, Chris, Keith and Dan Malloy have made their mark in everything from surf to film to music to gear.

Ironically, however, they’ve teamed up not on a multi-tool but a product at the exact opposite end of the sharp object spectrum: a fixed blade knife. That’s right, meet the Garage Batch #007: Malloy Special.

The Garage Batch program is Leatherman’s “Skunk Works” where they try not to let convention constrain what they attempt.
