With iconic offerings like the Bugout and Griptilian and its Lifesharp free blade sharpening program, Benchmade has long ranked as one of our favorite EDC knife brands. But the Oregon-based brand doesn’t just make folding pocket knives. Benchmade’s blade offerings include kitchen cutlery, fixed-blade hunting knives, automatic OTF tactical knives and more.

Now, Benchmade has entered new territory with its Water line. This brand-new collection is geared toward fishing and life on the water and includes folders, fixed blades and even dedicated fillet knives. So what exactly makes these knives ideal for use in wet environments? Let’s get into it.

I have seen most of the collection and I like them a lot. Spyderco uses MagnaCut in their SALT Series as well. Its corrosion resistance is that good.
