This was one of the biggest things to make an appearance at SHOT Show.
This is a great explanation of what they did here. THey aren’t the first. Spyderco and Kershaw both experimented with MIM and didn’t keep it going. MIM parts have a mixed record with gun parts. But if anyone has the RD&I resources and injection molding experience to make it work, it’s Magpul.
This is the future. It is zero waste. 50% of your billet material isn’t lost as metal shavings on the shop floor.
