What Should You Be Looking For When Purchasing An AK-47 Rifle?

Are you thinking of purchasing an AK-47 rifle? If the answer is yes, you want to ensure you get the correct one. The last thing you want is to invest in something that is either low quality or doesn’t work for you. In this article, we’ll look at some of the things that you should look for when purchasing an AK-47 rifle. Keep reading if you would like to find out more.

Check The Serial Numbers

One of the most important things you will need to do is check the serial numbers all match up. This will only be important if you want to check that this is the case if you are looking to buy what is being advertised as a new rifle. The receiver, the bolt, and the bolt carrier should all have the same serial number if it is a new rifle. If one of the serial numbers is different because if they do not, there is a high chance that one of the pieces has been assembled from used parts.

Safety Operation And The Trigger

You need to check that the trigger and the safety operations of the AK-47 work correctly. Your rifle needs to have a trigger that breaks cleanly when it is disengaging from the sear and returns to the forward position after being released. If it doesn’t, the trigger spring is broken.

Before making a purchase, you should also check if the safety works. Ensure that when the safety is on, it stops the trigger from being pulled; otherwise, it’s extremely dangerous.

Tolerance Of The Magazine Well

The magazine needs to be able to fit comfortably in the magazine well. The magazine well’s tolerance should be high enough to allow for magazines to be easily inserted and removed without having to use a large amount of force to do so. There tends to be a massive variation in magazine well tolerance depending on where the rifle was manufactured, so it’s important to check this when you are making a purchase, or else you could find yourself struggling to get the magazine in and out of the rifle.

Check The Quality

The majority of AK-47 rifles are made overseas, which means that the weapons are subject to varying levels of quality control. Polish, Russian, and Bulgarian AK-47s tend to have the highest level of quality control, while those made in China tend to be on the lower end of the scale. Speak to an expert if you want a professional opinion before purchasing.

We hope that you have found this article useful and now know some of the things that you should look for when purchasing an AK-47 rifle. Ensure that you make the right purchase by looking at everything that we’ve mentioned on this list, and don’t skip over things just because it might make it a little quicker to make your purchase.
