Eagan, MN – The USA College Clay Target League is pleased to announce that it will hold its first Trap Shooting National Championship at the Brittany Shooting Park in Bunker Hill, Illinois. The USA College Clay Target League is a division of the USA Clay Target League, the nation’s largest clay target shooting sports organization.
All collegiate athletes and teams that participate in the USACCTL’s Fall Season will be eligible to participate in the event, which will begin on Friday, November 1st and finish with the crowning of team and individual National College Champions on Sunday November 3rd.
“The League thrilled to be able to host our first in-person National College Championship” said John Nelson, President of the USA Clay League. “The League’s college program has been tremendously successful, with over 75 colleges and universities having been approved to participate since it began in 2019.”
“An in-person championship event has been a desire of League coaches from the beginning, and we’re very excited to bring it to fruition at Brittany Shooting Park.”
Built in 1999 by Larry and Carole Mohr, Brittany Shooting Park is located about one hour north of St. Louis, and is one of the top trap shooting facilities in the state. Today Brittany Shooting Park features 25 trap fields, a large modern clubhouse, ample camping space, and a myriad of other shooting sports opportunities. The range is also the host venue for the Illinois High School Clay Target League State Tournament, held each June.

The League is the largest clay target sports organization in the nation, and is the only 100% school-approved youth clay target shooting sport program in America. The League is Title IX compliant and is adaptable to students of all abilities.

The League is the safest sport in college, with zero reported injuries – ever. Each athlete must complete firearm safety certification before participation.
