TAG Precision Releases American-Made RMR Plate for Kimber 2K11 and 1911

Dallas, TX – TAG Precision announces the release of its new RMR Adapter Plate for the Kimber 2K11 and 1911, offering a purpose-built upgrade designed with the needs of serious shooters in mind. Manufactured in Dallas, Texas from American-made 4140 steel and finished in QPQ Black Nitride, this adapter plate provides a durable, reliable mounting solution for RMR-pattern optics on two of the most trusted pistol platforms in the industry.

The plate is engineered to deliver a secure fit, repeatable zero, and long service life under demanding conditions. Its construction and hardware package allows shooters to confidently run optics such as the Trijicon RMR, Trijicon SRO, HOLOSUN 507 series, and other RMR-pattern red dots without concern about stability or longevity. Each kit includes all necessary mounting hardware and a TORX driver, ensuring a straightforward installation.

Jordon Musser, COO of TAG Precision, stated:

“Our goal was to build an optic mounting solution that reflects the standards of shooters who depend on their equipment. By machining these plates in Dallas from American steel, we can guarantee the strength, precision, and consistency required for both training and real-world use. This plate allows the Kimber 2K11 and 1911 platforms to fully benefit from modern optics technology.”

Key attributes include:

  • American-made construction using heat-treated 4140 steel
  • QPQ nitride finish for enhanced wear and corrosion resistance
  • Compatibility with leading RMR-pattern optics
  • Secure, proven design suited for everyday carry, competition, and professional use

The adapter plate is designed for shooters seeking modern capability without compromising the heritage, handling characteristics, or reliability of their Kimber 2K11 or 1911. By combining rugged materials, precise machining, and attention to detail, TAG Precision provides an upgrade that enhances performance while maintaining the integrity of these iconic pistols.

The TAG Precision RMR Adapter Plate is available now at tagprecision.com for $99.95.
