Smith & Wesson Donates Collector’s Set for SAF Fundraising Efforts

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is thrilled to announce renowned firearms manufacturer Smith & Wesson has donated a one-of-a-kind collector’s edition 1854 rifle and Model 29 revolver set to support SAF’s fundraising initiatives. This exclusive set is available through auction on GunBroker’s esteemed  Collector’s Elite Auctions website.

“We are pleased to offer SAF this commemorative set to benefit their great work in defending and preserving our Second Amendment rights,” said Smith & Wesson Vice President of Marketing Kyle Tengwall. “This collector’s edition donation represents our continued commitment to supporting organizations that champion the rights of gun owners across America.”

The set being auctioned is No. 35 out of a 100-unit run of commemorative 1854 rifles, packaged with a matching Model 29 revolver. The pairing is a natural fit, as the original chamberings for lever actions were in pistol calibers to match the handgun carried on the range.

A beautiful display case showcases the 1854 Limited rifle, a collectible in and of itself as only 1,854 units of this will be produced. The famed Model 29 revolver is the legendary 6.5-inch barreled version in blue carbon steel with walnut grips.

Both the 1854 rifle and Model 29 handgun have been engraved and embellished by famed customization house Baron Engraving. The design is inlaid with 22-karat gold, and the 1854 and Model 29 share complementary designs. Included with the firearms and display case is a letter from S&W CEO Mark Smith, providing provenance to the set’s origin and limited status.

“We are truly grateful for this unique donation by Smith & Wesson to help us in our efforts to defend, secure and restore the Second Amendment,” said SAF Senior Vice President and VP of Development Lauren Hill. “Thanks to great partners like Smith & Wesson and GunBroker, we can continue to fight the demagogues who wish to trample our constitutional rights.”

The auction ends on Aug. 15. To view the listing or bid on the set, visit the Collector’s Elite Auctions  website.

The Second Amendment Foundation (saf.org) is the nation’s oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, SAF has grown to more than 720,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control.
