Shoot Like A Girl Returns to Its Hometown of Huntsville, Alabama for the 2025 Authentic Tour at Bass Pro Shops

ATHENS, Ala. – September 22, 2025 – SLG2, Inc., the outdoor industry’s leading experiential marketing company, is bringing its Shoot Like A Girl experience to Bass Pro Shops in Huntsville, Ala., September 27-28. As a proud nationwide business, but rooted in North Alabama, this event holds special significance for SLG2, Inc., marking an exciting homecoming to the area where the company’s journey first began.

Guests are invited to stop by:

  • Saturday, September 27: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • Sunday, September 28: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This interactive event provides a safe, welcoming space to introduce women and families to shooting sports, emphasizing safety, responsibility and empowerment.

“We are so excited to bring our one-of-a-kind experience back to our hometown Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s of Huntsville,” said Karen Butler, President, SLG2, Inc. “The company was founded with assistance from the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama (now Catalyst), and it’s an honor to return to the area where we started. Our talented team of female instructors can’t wait to empower more women and families by providing this unique opportunity to safely engage with shooting sports.”

The event will feature Shoot Like A Girl’s state-of-the-art mobile range, allowing participants 18 and older the opportunity to handle handguns and long guns and experience the excitement of shooting under the guidance of certified female instructors. These experienced instructors will offer a comprehensive introduction to firearm safety and handling using a Firearms Training Systems (FATS) by InVeris military-grade simulator, which provides immediate feedback on recoil, impact and sound. This experience fosters a fun, secure and comfortable atmosphere, building confidence in shooting sports and encouraging participation in various outdoor activities. Shoot Like A Girl instructors also offer safety talks for youth under 18 years old.

Outside of the range, attendees can explore the Shoot Like A Girl gun bar, where a variety of firearms, including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, shotguns and rifles, will be available for comparison. Additionally, participants can interact with product displays and demonstrations featuring a range of items, including the MAGPUL DAKA Grid system, SABRE inert pepper spray and Gun Tote’n Mamas Original concealed carry handbags. Women and men of all experience levels are welcome, and no prior knowledge is necessary to participate in this free event. All necessary equipment will be provided to guests upon arrival.
