Savage Arms’s Matt Alwine Wins “Top Production” at 2024 PRS Finale

Team Savage, the shooting representative of renowned firearms manufacturer Savage Arms®, proudly announces team member Matt Alwine ending a highly successful season by winning the Production Division for both the 2024 Precision Rifle Series (PRS) Finale and Season. Alwine also finished second in the Open Division with a production rifle which was the best finish in the history of the PRS Championship with a production rifle.

The 2024 PRS Finale took place in Mountain Home, Idaho, November 2-3, 2024. Competing in the Production Division, Alwine took the top spot. His final score of 195.00 won his division handily and was good enough for second overall.

“Matt’s historic finish this season and consistent dominance for the last several years has continued to showcase how the precision of Savage rifles is an asset to shooters,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “Matt’s ability to compete and win at the highest levels with a Production firearm is a testament to the high standards of precision and accuracy that the entire team at Savage produces in our factories every day–and of course the rare talent and dedication Matt brings to the line every time.”

Out of the fierce competition, Alwine secured an impressive second-place finish overall. While notching the best finish with a Production rifle in the history of the PRS Championship, Alwine finished 30 spots higher than anyone else using a production rifle.

“I love the fact that I’m able to compete with the best in the world with a completely factory rifle,” said Alwine. “I look forward to another great season on Team Savage and continuing to push what’s possible with a production rifle.”

Alwine, who shoots a Savage 110 Elite Precision, has produced dominant performances throughout the 2024 PRS season. Savage congratulates Alwine on a successful 2024 campaign and looks forward to his continued success in the competitive shooting circuit.
